How Steamrise 21 is dealt
Hand values
Number cards are worth their face value. Jacks, queens and kings each count as ten. An ace counts as eleven while the hand stays at twenty-one or below, and quietly drops to one the moment eleven would push you over. Go past twenty-one and the hand busts immediately.
The dealer's fixed rule
The dealer never guesses. They draw while their total is sixteen or lower and stand on every seventeen, soft or hard — an ace-six is a stand, not a draw. The same rule is applied on every round, with no exceptions for the size of your stake.
Payouts
A winning hand returns your stake plus an equal amount. A natural blackjack — an ace with a ten-value card on the opening two cards — pays three to two instead. A tie is a push and your stake comes straight back. A bust or a losing showdown forfeits the stake.
The deck
Each round is dealt from a freshly shuffled fifty-two card deck, all four suits and thirteen ranks modelled in full. Nothing is weighted, nothing is held back, and the shuffle runs again before every deal.
Coins reset to 2,500 whenever the page reloads and can be topped back up at any time with the reset control. They are not sold, cannot be bought, and hold no value of any kind outside this table.
A word on how it plays
The table opens quietly. You set a stake from the chip row, press Deal, and two cards arrive face up in front of you while the dealer takes one showing and one down. From there the decision is the oldest one in the game: another card, or hold what you have.
We have deliberately kept the round lean. There is no splitting, no doubling, no side bet waiting in the corner for a moment of impatience. Hit or stand, resolve, deal again — the shape of the game is the whole appeal, and burying it under extra buttons never made it better.
If the balance runs dry, the stake buttons lock and tell you so. Press reset and 2,500 coins come back. That is as dramatic as the economics of this site get.
